NHL 2022 Stanley Cup Betting Analysis: Odds Favorites Update Heading Into the Postseason

We have reached the final days of the NHL regular season for 2021-22. We have two teams that are clear front runners in each conference and in the betting favorites. As we gear up for the Stanley Cup Playoffs, let’s take a look at a few teams that could bring home Lord Stanley’s cup this year so you can bet against the Stanley Cup Odds

Updated Stanley Cup Odds for the Final Days of the Regular Season | NHL Betting

Colorado Avalanche +350

While they don’t have the most points in the NHL, the Colorado Avalanche is right on the Florida Panthers’ heels. The Avalanche does have the best odds to win the Stanley Cup as of right now. Colorado trails Florida by two points, with 118 on the season.

Mikko Rantanen has been the player to go to this season for the Avalanche. He leads the team in points and goals. Not to mention, Nathan MacKinnon is having a great year in nine fewer games played than Rantanen. MacKinnon has 88 points with 32 goals on the year.

This year, the Avalanche would be a smart bet to win the Stanley Cup.

Florida Panthers +550

After a 13-game winning streak, the Florida Panthers have lost two straight, allowing the Avalanche to pull close to the President’s Trophy. The losses were suffered by the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Boston Bruins. With 120 points on the season, the Panthers have pretty well dominated their opponents for most of the season.

Jonathan Huberdeau has been the best player for the Panthers this season. He leads the team in points and assists. It would be an exciting way to win the Stanley Cup after firing your head coach early in the season.

Sergei Bobrovsky has 39 wins on the season for the Panthers. With a save percentage of .913, he is a big reason for the success of the Panthers.

Calgary Flames +800

The leaders in the Pacific Division, the Calgary Flames, have the third-best odds of winning the Stanley Cup this year. It is a bit surprising to see the Flames this far up the board. Two other teams in the Western Conference are just as good with worse odds.

The Flames have won three in a row and have a big game against the Minnesota Wild. Calgary has two players over the 100-point mark, with Johnny Gaudreau leading the way. Gaudreau has 113 points and Matthew Tkachuk with 102 points.

Could the Flames be an underdog in the Stanley Cup Playoffs this year?

Toronto Maple Leafs +900

The Toronto Maple Leafs have solidified themselves as a favorite this year in the NHL. This is a team I would stay away from when it comes to picking them in the playoffs. The Maple Leafs have struggled to get out of the first round in the last few years.

It is no surprise that Auston Matthews has led the team in points and goals. Matthews is the heart and soul of the Toronto team. If they are finally going to get past their postseason Demons, Matthews has to be the one to lead the way.

Other Odds

  • Minnesota Wild +1600
  • Pittsburgh Penguins +1800
  • St. Louis Blues +2000
