With less than ten games left in the NBA regular season, the Memphis Grizzlies and Milwaukee Bucks are fighting for playoff positioning. Both of them are currently sitting in second place in their conferences. Let’s have a look at the upcoming match between the Phoenix Suns and Denver Nuggets so you can bet against the NBA Odds.
NBA Betting Preview for Milwaukee Bucks at Memphis
Bucks versus Grizzlies Preview
While it would take a miracle for the Grizzlies to get into first place, the Bucks are just 1.5 games behind the Miami Heat for the top spot. The Bucks are tied with two other teams, so every game is very crucial for them.
The Bucks will have a chance to make a statement victory on Saturday night, as they’ll travel to the FedExForum in Memphis to take on the Grizzlies. Milwaukee will be catching a huge break on Saturday, as Ja Morant will be out for the remainder of the regular season with a tweaked knee.
While Milwaukee is catching a break not having to deal with Morant, we will point out that Memphis is 15-2 on the season when Morant doesn’t play, so Milwaukee won’t be able to rest easy.
Milwaukee Bucks Analysis
Milwaukee will be coming off of a Thursday night tussle at home with the Washington Wizards. Prior to playing Washington, the Bucks had lost to the red-hot Minnesota Timberwolves, albeit with Giannis Antetokounmpo, and beaten the Bulls upon the return of the “Greek Freak.”
Antetokounmpo scored 25 points and had 17 boards against the Bulls. The Bucks also saw the return of Pat Connaughton, who hadn’t played since early February. The Bucks are getting everyone back just at the right time. They’re also peaking at the right time for a long playoff run.
With Milwaukee sitting just 1.5 games behind the East-leading Heat and being tied with the Boston Celtics and Philadelphia 76ers, they know that every game is crucial for playoff positioning.
A slight slip-up could put them into the 4th position, with the possibility of having to play the #1 seed in the second round of the conference playoffs.
Memphis Grizzlies Analysis
Although the Grizzlies received bad news on the status of Ja Morant, the good news is that they know that they can win without him. Memphis has had a busy week.
They lost to the Atlanta Hawks and then rebounded with wins over the Houston Rockets and the Brooklyn Nets. The win over the Nets was huge, as they outlasted Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving, who scored a combined 78 points.
Desmond Bane, who has become a very good player for the Grizzlies, stepped up his scoring game this week, as he averaged nearly 24 points in the two wins. De’Anthony Melton also played well as he averaged nearly 20 per game in the two wins by going 10-16 from beyond the arc.
Memphis knows that if they continue to play well, they’ll have the #2 seed sowed up in the Western Conference. Even though Golden State is just two games behind the Grizzlies, the Warriors have been struggling.
Memphis will be thrilled to be sitting in the second spot, as many weren’t sure that they’d even make the playoffs prior to the start of the season.
