We are a week away from the start of the first round of the 2022 Masters tournament. What could be considered the best week in sports, we are back inside one of golf’s greatest venues at Augusta National. From the bright flowers to the pimento cheese sandwiches, it is sure to be an exciting week in Georgia.
We could see the return of Tiger Woods, who we have not seen compete in over a year. There is no confirmation on his status for the week, but he has yet to withdraw from the tournament. Whether Woods plays or not, we do know that he will be in attendance and involved in the tournament in some way.

Updated Odds to Win The 2022 Masters – Top 3
Jon Rahm +900
Jon Rahm is still the favorite to win the green jacket at Augusta National in 2022. Last year we saw the first Japanese player to win the green jacket in Hideki Matsuyama. There have been two previous Spaniard winners at Augusta National before, with Seve Ballesteros and Sergio Garcia.
Rahm fell out of the #1 World Ranking spot this last week after Scottie Scheffler won the WGC Dell Match Play tournament. He had held the #1 spot since The Open last year.
Rahm has appeared in eight events this season with four top 10 finishes. He finished tied for ninth last week at the WGC Dell Match Play.
Looking back to last year, Rahm finished tied for fifth in the final standings at The Masters. Can he bring home the green jacket this year for his second major win?
Rory McIlroy +1200
Looking to complete the career grand slam, a win at the 2022 Masters would complete that for Rory McIlroy. While he has only been cut once from the tournament, McIlroy has rarely been able to creep into contention for the green jacket. McIlroy is coming off a poor performance last year where he was cut for the first time.
Augusta has shown that you can win at an older age, but it is much harder to do so. As McIlroy continues to get older, the younger competition continues to get better. Early on in his career, we thought we may have another generational talent on our hands.
His best finish to date at The Masters is a fourth-place finish in 2015 when Jordan Spieth took the world by surprise and tied the tournament record for most under par, tying one with Tiger Woods. We have not seen McIlroy this season since The Players Championship.
Jordan Spieth +1400
The former champion returns to Augusta National, looking to regain his stature within the golfing world. Spieth returns this week to San Antonio, where he won last year. Since the collapse in 2016, Spieth has struggled in the spotlight.
Within the last few years, Spieth has slowly gained his confidence back. Spieth did not advance last week to the final 16 spots in the match play tournament but made a considerable jump in the World Golf Rankings in the last year.
There are certain courses that Spieth plays well at, and Augusta is one of those places. His best finish this season was a second-place finish at Pebble Beach.
