NASCAR 2022 Cup Series: EchoPark Automotive Grand Prix Betting Odds & Analysis

If you are a fan of a tight playoff race, then you have to love what is happening in the NASCAR Cup Series in the early going. We have had 5 races and 5 different winners thus far, and we might well see that trend continue this weekend in Austin, Texas, as the drivers will be tackling a road course. We get a few of these types of races each year, and we have found that certain drivers seem better equipped to handle the challenges of a road course than others, which is something that is reflected in the odds for the 2022 version of the EchoPark Automotive Grand Prix. Let’s now take a look at those favorites to see if the winner might be among that group and you can bet against their NASCAR Odds.

NASCAR Cup Series Betting Preview for Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 Race

Chase Elliott (+300)

Chase Elliott was not able to repeat as the Cup Series champion last season, but he sure came close, making it into the final four once again. This is a driver that does not win a ton of races, but who stays alive and moves on by constantly picking up valuable points. He has made that kind of start again this season, as he is still looking for his first win despite currently sitting atop the driver standings. You have to like him to win this weekend, as both his wins last season came on road courses, including in the 2021 version of this race. My money will be on him to get the win again.

Kyle Larson (+400)

The defending champion was so good last season that it was always going to be difficult to match what he delivered in 2021. He does have a win this year, but outside of that victory in Vegas, Larson is well off the pace he set last year. This might well be the race that helps him get back to winning ways, as he is another driver who seems to enjoy the challenge of a road course. He ran 2nd in this corresponding race in 2021 and picked up a win at Watkins Glen. Slow start to the season or not, you would expect Larson to be among the leaders this weekend.

Kyle Busch (+1000)

Since winning his second Cup Series title in 2019, Busch has taken a bit of a backward step, failing to make it to the final four in each of the last 2 seasons. He has only managed to pick up 2 wins over the last 2 season, which might suggest that he is a bit of a longshot here, but he always seems to perform well on road courses, finishing in the top 5 an all of those races last season. He might well be worth a look at these odds.

Martin Truex Jr. (+1000)

It has not been what you would call a great start to the season for Truex Jr, who has a pair of top 10 finishes through the first 5 races, leaving him ion 8th overall in the driver standings. He did not have a great run at this track in 2021, but he did enough in the other road course races to have the bookies put him among the favorites this weekend.
